Giugiaro Design
The famous Italian industrial design firm Giugiaro Design collaborated with Okamura to create the Baron series. Besides beautiful styling and superior functionality, Baron is particularly distinguished by a simple and sharp design in tune with contemporary needs and tastes. Baron's synthesis of "cutting-edge Italian design and Japanese technology" will revitalize your office space.
Ergonomic Concept
One of the most outstanding features of the Baron Series is its exceptional seating comfort. Newly developed mesh materials and Baron’s advanced design provides the most comfortable seating for wide range of physique, guaranteeing fatigue-free support and stability even after hours of sitting.
Reclining Tension Adjustment
You can use the tension dial positioned underneath the right hand to finely tune reclining tension to your favorite setting.
Seat Height & Depth Adjustment
Adjust the chair height, up to 100mm, using the lever on the lower right. Adjustment of the seat’s depth, within a range of 50mm, using the levers beneath the seat.
Adjustable Arms
Adjustable arms can be adjusted in two dimensions: height, and angle-enabling the most comfortable elbow support for the various tasks at hand.
Naturally Comfortable Seating and Ergonomically Smart Operation
Comfortable reclining is another remarkable feature that makes Baron such a pleasure to sit in. Baron’s unique ankle tilt reclining mechanism naturally follows bodily movement even while working at a computer. Ease of operation and easy to use controls enables the user to adjust seat height and reclining angle to his or her natural posture.
Style Variations
Twelve different mesh and fabric color variations offer a broad range of possibilities. You can select frame and seat combinations and choose the color variations that best fit your workplace needs and individual taste. You can select a high back or a low back as well as an extra-high back variation with attached headrest. You can choose a chair with or without armrests. Guest chairs are also available.
Environmentally
Standard mesh
Standard mesh chairs with moderate resiliency that firmly support your body. The exceptional breathability provides comfort even after long hours of sitting.
Gradation support mesh
Gradation Support Mesh chairs with varying densities. The lower back area is made firmer for better lumbar support. The upper back area is less firm, offering more comfort.
Lumbar support
Featuring a stylish half-transparent design, the lumbar support comfortably conforms to your physique and provides back support. You can adjust the height of lumbar support up to 50mm.
Headrest
A wide headrest gently supports the back of the head. A movable and fixed type is available.
Movable headrest
For the movable headrest, height and angles can be adjusted.
Hanger
You can add an optional upper garment hanger to your chair, either to the chair’s high- back or low-back variation.
Recycled materials
Recycled materials are used in aluminum and resin parts. These materials make up about 53% by product weight.
Recyclability
With future recyclability firmly in mind during the design stage, we use homogeneous materials as much as possible. After use, our products can be collected and disassembled into homogeneous materials
